What Is a Lot Rebate? Lot Rebate Meaning for Forex Partners

Partner Federation Glossary — last updated September 2026

A lot rebate is a partnership payment model where a broker pays a partner a fixed dollar amount for every lot a referred client trades, regardless of whether that trade was profitable for the broker or how wide the spread was. It’s paid on an ongoing basis for as long as the referred client keeps trading.

Why It Matters for Partners

Lot rebate is one of three core ongoing-payout partnership models, alongside revenue share and spread share. Because the payout is fixed per lot, a partner’s earnings are simple to project once they know a client’s trading volume: 100 lots at a $5 rebate is $500, whether the client’s trades made money for the broker or not. That’s the key difference from revenue share, which pays a percentage of the broker’s actual net revenue from the client and moves up or down with it — lot rebate rewards volume traded, not broker profitability.
