LTV (Lifetime Value) is the total revenue — or, from a partner’s side, the total commission — a referred client generates over the entire time they keep trading. It’s the number revenue share is actually built around: a partner’s real payout isn’t the first month’s rebate, it’s the client’s full LTV.
Why It Matters for Partners
CPA pays a fixed amount regardless of a client’s LTV — the broker keeps the upside if that client trades for years. Revenue share does the opposite: it’s uncapped precisely because it’s designed to track LTV as it happens, for as long as the client stays active. Comparing LTV against CAC (as an LTV:CAC ratio) is the standard way partners and brokers judge whether acquisition spend on a given traffic source is actually worth it — a client with high LTV justifies a much higher CAC than one who deposits once and disappears.
